Nappies/ Pull up pants

Hi, I was wondering when are we supposed to start using nappy pants/pull ups for our babies instead of normal nappies? My son is 9 months old and he’s in size 7 nappies but it seems a lot of size 7’s are nappy pants in stores? Any suggestions? Do we do pull ups for night time?

I don't think there really is a time when you're supposed to switch to pull ups/nappy pants. I think it's more a case of many find they're easier as little one gets older. I think I swapped around 6 or 7 months personally.

They’re not as absorbent so we only use them for potty training purposes.

We only started using them once my daughter was day time potty trained. She stopped wanting to wear a nappy at night, but accepted nappy pants. Just found they never fit as well as proper nappies.

My daughter is 13 months and we’re still using normal nappies as I’ve heard they have better absorbency. She sleeps 13 hours at night so need to make sure she’s got a good nappy on! We’ll use the pants for potty training I think x

Nappy pants and pull ups are 2 different things. Pull ups are not absorbant as they are used for potty training, they allow the child ro feel they are wet so understand thats when they should use the potty.
For nappy pants, which are the same as nappies, i switched to these around 1 year old as my daughter was too wriggly for regular nappies. I find nappy pants are comfier for them due to the stretch X
