Oblique position at 35 weeks

At 32 weeks my baby was transverse, at my 35 week appointment my baby was Oblique. Should I be concerned that baby is not head down yet? I’ve had 2 vaginal births with no issues, with both of my previous pregnancies, my babies were already head down and had been head down for awhile at this point. My OB recommended doing the miles circuit to encourage a head down position until my next appointment, and then they will do an ultrasound to make sure it’s head down. What will happen if baby is still not head down at 36 weeks? This baby does not seem to want to go head down and it’s making me a lil nervous so trying to get an idea of what to expect. Thank you!

If your baby is not head-down by the time of their due date, it is likely you will have a c-section, just to avoid any complications to the baby. I have heard of vaginal breech births that are fine with assistance and monitoring, just not a very common process.

You can try inversion positions to try and flip them. If they don’t flip soon, the dr may recommend manually flipping the baby by pushing on one side and coursing them to rotate (heard it’s very painful from 2 different people, 1 had the Dr do it, the other had their chiropractor do it)

I would definitely look into ‘spinning babies’ moves on their website! specifically the forward leaning inversion, side lying release and a few more recommended for the oblique lie on this site! the goal of these techniques is that it will help make more room in your pelvis and untwist some of the ligaments. it’s more effective than the miles circuit although that helps too!
