Postpartum hives

Anybody experienced this? What did you do/how long did it last?

It’s horrific and covers nearly my entire body. Only starts to happen from 6pm onwards and then gone when I wake up in the morning.

Not postpartum but I got them really bad when I was pregnant I did try this cream prescribed by the gp dermol 500 n it’s also a body wash n seemed to ease a bit x

Try anti histamines. I had that which helped but it came back and gp prescribed steroid cream too

Could it be something you’re eating? After I had my son I ended up developing an allergy to eggs. I would get hives, itchy, really bad stomach pains, etc. it could also just be the hormonal shift. Take pictures of it and see your doctor is best bet.

how old are you?

Not postpartum but my husband gets stress hives often. Extra strength allergy medicine is what helps him

Yup! After both pregnancies. 😭 For me, anti histamines only made it worse so I just had to suffer until it eventually went away. Like I would stand outside and a gust of wind would blow and I’d have welts all over my arms. This time I’ve been getting extra on my face, but it’s still pretty horrible all over my body. I’m sorry I don’t have a timeline for you but I am here suffering with you in solidarity ✊🏼

This sounds like something autoimmune. Have you gone to a doctor to get checked ?

YES! When i was 2-3 wks pp i had the craziest rash/hives on the lower right side of my belly. It was excruciatingly itchy, i used hydrocortisone cream to help with the burning. It did go away after a couple of weeks. My obgyn could not explain it other than stress**** i never followed up with a dermatologist though?

Lasted two weeks. Absolutely nothing helped. Went away on its own
