If you’ve given birth more than once- did your second child come earlier or later than your first?

I think it’s hard to say as all depends on when you conceived, baby position, hormones etc but I was 40 plus 2 with first snd 39 plus 4 with second. I ate dates every day from 37 weeks both times

First was 2 days late, second was 5 days early

First was 40+4 (just as was just after midnight) second was 41w exactly

Earlier but not by much. 41+0 compared to 41+4.

First was spontaneous at 35 weeks, second I was induced at 39

Is that how it works? My baby came on time via emergency c-section and I was 39.5 weeks . Everyone thought that my baby would late . Maybe because I was super active ?

My 1st came 2.5wks early. My second came a week early.

1st - 39+4
2nd - 36
3rd - 40+1

3 timer here and all of mine came at 39 weeks. However each labor was longer than the last 11 1/2 for my first 18 for my second and 19 for my third 😫

I mean techincally earlier but had to be induced with my second! First came naturally the day the induction was scheduled lol

41+2 and 41+4

I thought I’d be given birth again around 42 weeks like first time but gave birth 2 days after my due date

My first 38+5 my second at 35+2

Still 2 days late, but earlier than the first!

I've heard you tend to gestate for about the same length each pregnancy, but that the deliveries tend to be shorter.

I use the word "tend" of course.

Unfortunately, I went way over with my first and my second. But my labor/delivery was WAY shorter with baby #2.

I'd assume you will go over again so as to not disappoint yourself but of course be prepared for anything by 39 weeks!

41 + 5, 14 hour labor with my first

41 + 3, 6 hour labor with my second baby

1st - 38 weeks
2nd & 3rd (twins) - 36 weeks
4th - 37 weeks
5th - cryptic pregnancy so unknown gestation but guessing 35-37

1st - 39wks (6lbs 14oz)
2nd - 39+1 (6lbs 13oz)
3rd - 38+3 (6lbs 12oz)
