I heard of a poop insert a windi I think might be appropriate in this circumstance- precaution ; it does get lubricated and inserted in the rectum to help with bowel relief by the parent and I’ve heard stories of it projectiing poop immediately after, has to be atleast 30 min after a feed- I might wait longer- For babies since they aren’t able to eat solids or most of much anything else besides milk this might be an option it’s by Frida baby the windi it’s called it’s mostly used for trapped gas.

so the gp isn’t generally worried until around day 10 or unless baby is uncomfortable. They go through a couple of digestion developments and poop habits change, I wouldn’t worry just yet. Warm baths can help them, offer the odd sip of cooled boiled water if they are starting to strain to pass bowel movements of formula fed

7-10 days a baby can go without a bowel movement. Just keep any eye on her.
I do know a few formula fed mums offer a ready made formula and baby tends to go shortly after that so you could try that.

I know this is a controversial one, but I’m old school.
a bit of boiled water is what does my formula fed baby well.
Gone through this multiple times. Up to 4 days no poo.
literally no more than a quarter of 1oz. And then a load of bicycle legs, holding upright squating and belly clockwise massage circles.

Another thing, if they doing ‘sharts’ as long as it’s still mushy yellow stains and no belly discomfort- Should be ok, if you see pebbley poo is when to worry.

Ready made formula works well as a laxative (a trick my midwife and health visitor told me about) but please don’t give any water as their kidneys aren’t developed enough to deal with it x
