What’s your all time favourite book? Any that really stayed with you?
…I got a kindle for Christmas and would love some recommendations of relatively lighthearted books to read in early motherhood. (Will probably avoid thrillers during this time) thank you ☺️

If you're okay with a bit of smut (or a lot) I'd read the Hannah Grace books or the Laurie Gilmore ones ☺️

Brooklyn - sequel is Long Island (A Romance)
Wuthering Heights (A Classic)
The Other Valley or 1984 (if you like something dismal)
Eleanor Olliphant (psycological)
The gentleman in Moscow (uplifting)
Anything written by Sally Rooney is nice eg Intermezzo or Normal people

Throne of glass by Sarah J Maas I’m obsessed with the series x

Dani Atkins - Always you & me (and every other Dani Atkins I’ve read over the years!)
One True Loves - Taylor Jenkins Reid (again every book is brilliant by TJR!)
Christie Barlow books I enjoy
Heidi Swain too!
Blue Sister - Coco Mellors
Paige Toon - I’ve read many & almost always LOVE them
Beth Moran - it had to be you

I read “what you are looking for is in the library” early PP and it really resonated, was super gentle and helped me continue reading without too much of a headache!

Throne of glass
Court of throne and roses
Crescent city
Lights out

If you like a bit of smut that’s a bit kinky the salacious club series by Sara cate is great! Finished Praise and eyes on me in the space of a week

I’m currently making my way through all of Emily Henry’s books on my kindle. They are easy and light to read, funny and a little bit smutty but mainly very romantic x

Jennifer Lynn Barnes - The Inheritance Games (book one of a great series I’ve been hooked since the start of last year)

Fourth wing!

Anna Karina by Leo Tolstoy... Amazing

which one? X

you’re in for a treat! It’s brilliant!! X

The night circus
Verity
Martha Peak

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson I just loved it so much as well as his other books but Warbreaker was my first.

I'm really enjoying Gentle Parenting, myself.

If you like something that is more contemporary and tackles body image issues, talks a lot about food, and midnight feasts Supper Club is soooo good by Lara Williams. It is better than i just described!

Just finished ‘the names’ 11/10 from me 💛
