My sons first word was mama, but it was always when he was crying, he'd always call for me 🥺

Babbling mama/dada can be as early as 6 months. Mama was my son's first babble, but we didn't count it as a word until he said it with meaning, around 12 months for us.

He started saying mama when hes frustrated and dada when hes happy around 8 months. Only now did he actually connect the word dada with his father, still waiting for him to say mama intentionally tho 🥹

My 7 month old has been calling out Mama when he’s tired, hungry, wet, or any of the things I can fix since around 5 months. Now he babbles it when happy too but I don’t think he’s actually calling me Mama yet, intentionally.

My girl is 19 months and only 'dada' 😭 amongst other words.

My seven month old is saying “dada-dada.” It sounds like babble, but he’ll say it right after my six year old says “daddy.”

6 ish months she’s say mama. She’s now 8 months and dada is her favorite word when he’s home

16 months and still waiting 🙄 but my first was about 7-8 months

5 months. It was abnormally early lol and her first words. I recorded it because she kept repeating it.

It took my son forever, he had daddy down pat for the longest time then finally starting calling me "ah-ba" 🤷♀️ eventually he called me mama and has now graduated to mommy 💔
