Do any of you have a child on the spectrum and now scared to have more children? I did want one more child but now scared to have another just in case the next one will be on the spectrum as well and possibly higher on the spectrum.
My son was diagnosed as level 1 so I’m aware I don’t have to do as much work as some other moms but yeah I would feel guilty if I had another child and he/she is on the spectrum as well.

I don’t have a child with autism, but I have that diagnosis myself.
I’m a single mum of a non-autistic child, and I really want another kid. I was thinking of using a sperm donor, but I’m 38 next year, and I worry so much my next child may be autistic. And how much that would take away from my child. And how difficult it would be as a single mum with autism myself. So I’m thinking it’s probably a bad idea.
Have you thought about adoption? I’ve been looking into that.

I have one son with ADHD and one son with Autism who is also non-verbal. Life isn’t easy some of the time but I wouldn’t change it for the world as the good moments out weigh that bad one by miles xx

My oldest has ASD (diagnosed just after I had my middle) she's "high functioning" (I know that's not a good term but it's the best way to describe her) my middle has ASD & ADHD. I had my youngest 3 years ago and she's showing traits of ASD but it's not impacting her and I know how to manage it so we've not pushed for a diagnosis yet. They're 10, 8 and 3 now. I believe I'm also ASD/ADHD myself so to me they're the same. X

I'm AuDHD, partner is Autistic and our Daughter is AuDHD (nearly 20months old) and would deffo have 1 more no matter how they came out. Our house is full of love, patience and neurodivergent understanding, her being born into our household means all her needs are met and she is a happy child, because of who we are, we truly see who she is. Don't want to eat that, we understand, here is something with a different texture. Want to be upside-down half the day, we got you and know the benefits and science behind why you want it, we are Autistic we will dive down any rabbit hole to seek knowledge to meet your needs. I see it as a blessing. X

My daughter is currently waiting on a diagnosis for autism , however my new current partner has adhd and his son is autistic ( non verbal ) I would like another child but with all the above I don’t think I will as I think it would be too much for me personally .
