Even if just for 30 mins and if so how do you encourage it?
I feel like I may have set myself up for failure by being such a helicopter parent 🫠😂 but her having the ability to let me sit on the sofa for half an hour while she entertains herself is the dream!

My son will happily do independent play too much, I try to join in and sometimes he’ll move to another area 🥲

My little one has only just started to play independently, I brought him all the different bluey cats and stuff with the little figures and now he just plays with them for ages

If im in another room, she will play great on her own, if I sit in the same room, she won't leave me alone 🤣

My little girl only really does it if I’m busy! Cooking or cleaning. Then she plays amazing by herself! But she won’t if I’m sat on the sofa 😂

My daughter does, but also likes to know you're around.
I think some children just naturally do so, others are more 'clingy' wanting you to play with them constantly

She does but not for long. Avoid eye contact if you can - that’s how the independent play ends haha

Mine son will play independently if I am busy - cooking, cleaning or whatever. He will check in like "look at this Mummy" or will bring me a play drink or food. If I'm doing nothing though he won't as I am avaliable 😅.

My daughter has to be in the same room with me at all times and if I'm cooking or cleaning then she wants to be involved too ðŸ«
