Feeling embarrassed
So we decided to let my Husbands family know we were expecting on Christmas day🎄 but something I couldn't of imagined happened ! His mother's reaction was to say oh I knew it on front of everyone loudly den his sister said how did you know and she said well I knew " she had weight up " im only 11 weeks so not like i would have alot of weight up 🙈 i felt so embarrassed and kind of smiled it off and tried to ignore it as his family's big so other people were nattering and congratulating at the same time .. I guess my point is I feel annoyed embarrassed and gutted. I tried to say it to my husband on the way home and he said because she's " older" in her 80s she didn't mean it like that .. I duno I literally feel humiliated and just wanted people's opinions on the situ .. I guess il add im not slim always been slightly chubby so im conscious to begin with

Very similar thing happened to me. I'm nearly 11 weeks and we announced to husbands family Christmas day and both MIL and SIL said they suspected I was pregnant because I had a bump (and because I asked for a tea instead of wine). I haven't really lost much weight from my first pregnancy and I personally feel like I am showing already this second time round, so it was slightly offensive but It just confirmed what I was feeling 🙈
I do think you have a right to be annoyed as its very insensitive. For some reason people seem to think its okay to start talking about people's size and weight when they're pregnant.
You'll find people suddenly feel they can have an opinion on your body now. It's not right but does happen. "You're so big" "are you sure it's not twins" "your bump is only small for 6 months" "that's a boy bump because it looks stuck on" "that's a girl bump because it's all around" ... I had it all and it's funny because one day I'd have it's big, the next day someone else say it's small, some saying that's a boy the next saying that's a girl. No one knows what they're talking about. Just to ignore the (usually) silly old dears 😅
