When does it get easier?

I’m away from my lo for the first time since having her, she’s with her dad for a few nights and I’m really struggling! I’ve done every bedtime, night shift and wake up since she was born!
When does this get easier?

I’m having a chat with her dad soon about next steps, whether we try again or sort out a better arrangement as currently I’m doing everything but I feel like staying separated may be the best option but this is so hard! I feel like I’m missing something!

I’m about 3 years out from the first initial overnight/overnights of my son and I would say just this year it’s gotten “easier” I still miss my son and occasionally wake up during the night to see if he’s ok when he’s away with his dad. However I know how much fun he is having and it also gives me time to catch up on house work, my job I can get caught up on tasks/deadlines and I can also get a bit of self care in. It’s hard and an adjustment, I think most of us mums we don’t have kids to share them and that’s where we tend to struggle because we worry about every need of our child and if they are being cared for the way we would do. My best advice is don’t try to think like that I used to send myself in to panic attacks and fits of tears, do you have a hobby or perhaps a favourite show/book you could read?
