Has anyone little ones caught a cold and has anyone rang 111 regarding it?
My little girl is 3 weeks old and has caught a cold from her sister. Shes just vomitted after a feed and is very very sleepy so I’m waiting on a call back from 111. I’m just wondering if anyone has been in this position and what the advice was from 111 whether it was to go to hospital or out of hours gp etc?

I was told by the midwife at the day 10 appointment that up to 4 weeks old if you have a medical issue with baby you can call the 24 hour midwife line (in my area its called the MAMAS line) and they will see you

I literally had to do this a few hours ago, my little girl is 3 weeks old too and has caught a cold and cough from her older sister. 111 sent the paramedics to the house and they took her temp, blood sugar and they were happy with all her numbers. Had to speak to a hospital doctor through video call but her was happy with her too.
The health visitor I spoke to on Christmas eve advised a snot sucker and humidifier

Ended up taking her to A&E as she just wouldn’t wake up at all and we are being kept in overnight for observation and swabs to see what viral illness she has.
I thought a trip to A&E might have been dramatic but mother’s instinct is always right and I’m so glad we brought her in and I went with my gut x
