Neither. Skin prick test although he did have a blood test privately that we paid for.

I cut dairy from my diet and the blood in his nappy stopped.

Both - GP wouldn’t listen to me so took my daughter to A&E twice. First time they just went off symptoms and gave me aptamil pepti 1. Second time I went in because my LO was pooing literally just blood so they ran loads of blood tests to rule anything else out and moved her on to neocate

Skin prick for us just confirmed he didn’t have an ieg allergy

Neither. Dietary elemination as breastfeeding. Dietary elimination is the gold standard for diagnosis detailed in the NICE guidelines.

Blood tests would only work for an IGE allergy, and even then I'm not sure how accurate they are.

Cutting out dairy from my diet was part of the diagnostic process and then I and to reintroduce it to confirm the diagnosis.
