Petra, Jordan is the first thing to come to mind. Closely followed by the Petra's I personally know.

I used to know a dog by that name. And of course the city. Although it's quite close to Petro, which is a solid Slavic version of Peter.

Petra means rock. I think of the meaning of a name first.

Petra is a popular old school name in German.
Also it reminds me of Petra in Jordan, an incredible ancient city.
I say, go for it.
