My body feels so heavy and uncomfortable all the time, with constant pressure and aching, and little sharp pains that catch me off guard. I keep getting bracton hicks and then by morning, nothing!! I am just mentally and physically feeling exhausted in a way that sleep does not fix, and the waiting is wearing me down emotionally. I feel close to tears a lot. Annoyingly my midwife told me the baby is very engaged and that she’d likely arrive before Christmas - but so far, ive had nothibg! It’s so hard and i just need some support or reassurance. My first baby was born at 38 weeks and im now 39 with my second.

i am going through the exact same thing! i had my first at 38 weeks and contractions just started, went into labor and gave birth a few hours later. with the second i’m 39 weeks and have been feeling like it’s any day for weeks now. getting on and off cramping, braxton hicks, losing my mucus plug and nothing 😆 i guess they are just warm and cozy in there but i totally understand what you are going through!

I had my first at 36+4 and am currently 38+1 and so over it as everyone told me this baby will arrive before today x

I had my baby on December 10th at 39+2 and just wanted to offer some support! I went through exactly the same feelings. I had severe PGP and struggled to move around through my whole 3rd trimester. I gained so much weight in pregnancy, and was constantly uncomfortable, didn’t feel like myself, and was just so ready for him to come out. All I can say is I’m on the other side of it now and so soon you’ll be on the other side too! It’ll feel so completely worth it. just be gentle with yourself. I always found it so frustrating for people to tell me how the baby would come when they’re ready or they just need more time cooking - pregnant women are every bit as human as their babies and you deserve for your pain and your feelings to be important too. It isn’t all about the baby. Fingers crossed your little one will be on their way soon!
Also, if your midwife says it’s okay, maybe try pumping to induce labor?

I feel exactly the same. I've not slept properly in weeks, I'm suffering with severe PGP which I've been told is "normal". I can’t move properly, my partner is having to help me get dressed and shower because of the pain and everyone I see keeps telling me how big I am.
I've cried every day of December so far and I am so desperate for this to be over already.
I feel like no one sees the person who's body is being pushed so far beyond it's limits. No one has asked me how I am in months. All anyone cares about is the baby I'm carrying and I don't exist anymore. I didn't even get 1 single Christmas present that was for me. Just baby stuff. I've been completely erased.

Baby girl has arrived just after ringing in the new year.. after having the worst PGP.. and the most gruelling labour!! And I can honestly say.. it was all worth it. She smells scrumptious!! Don’t worry ladies, you’ll get there! ♥️♥️♥️
