Has anyone used a rapidcool before and can give some advice on its use? Im due baby 2 in May, I always regretted not getting one with my first but i’m getting really confused with how they work 🙈 can you store boiled water in them and then just add the formula powder while out and about? Or does the boiled water have to be stored in a flask and transferred into it? Are they actually worth the money or is it more faff than it’s worth? Thanks in advance for any advice ☺️

You have one thermos and one to cool down both different colours So I used one with my first I did it different I poured the amount of Oz of water in the bottle first left the hot shot amount in there and then poured the rest of the water into the rapid cool , then added the formula to the hot shot water in the in the bottle swirl it and then waited for the water in the rapid cool to be cool enough and then added it to the hot shot and formula ( I didn’t like the thought of the formula milk staying in there and smelling and sterilising it all the time so was easier to keep clean with just the hot water going in there

We had one but didn’t love it always found it too hot when it said ready & we had 2 cool flasks and one thermos so if out could only do 2 feeds as have to be sterilised unless you use the Nuby just for hot shot.
We ended up getting a good thermos flask, some cheap baby bottles which we filled with boiling water and then let it cool & we did the hot shot with cool boiled water method x

I used this with my first, both in the house and out, loved it.

I used them with my first and will use again. We found them so helpful! X
Thanks for the advice everyone ☺️ I think I am gonna give it a go and see how I get on! X

Amazing! Don’t know what I’d do without it makes life so much easier

I thought of getting one, but instead I’d get the ready made small cartons of formula and ask for the cafe/restaurant to give me some hot water to warm the bottle a bit.

Best purchase and most used item we made for my first! We used it in and out of the house, day and night, it was a game changer! We didn’t do the hot shot method but measured and stirred the feed in his bottle (stirred with a sterile spoon because reflux) and then cooled the whole thing down in the rapid cool. Hopefully no. 2 will breastfeed but will use again with him if needed.
I would suggest getting an actual thermos rather than using the nuby version though, a genuine thermos kept water hot enough over night rather than boiling the kettle from scratch every time. I’d test the water using our coffee thermometer and the water would be over 70 degrees the next morning, the nuby version wouldn’t keep it hot enough even after just 2 hours.
