Non-silicone options please!
I have the Bibado silicone ones and can't get the taste of dish soap out of them!
Anyone recommend the Munchkin ones? Do they stay stuck to the table?

Yesssss!!!! Ours are the same and the bamboo ones break so fast!
We have the munchkin bowls and they’re pretty good but they discolour fast

We love the bamboo bamboo ones

Yessssss meeee too I’m at my wits end. I don’t even use em

Bamboo Bamboo ones are the best!!!

I really like the munchkin ones xx

temporary solution - baking soda scrub and leave it to sit for an hour x

Any silicone plate will be the same, the washing up liquid forms a film on them, especially in a dishwasher where it gets “sealed” during the drying cycle. You can remove it by soaking in vinegar. It not only smells of soap but will also taste of it. Bamboo plate are best for this. If you want to use the silicone ones try washing by hand and with eco/sensitive washing up liquid instead

The munchkin and nuby ones are great. Take a lot of effort to pull them off

Bamboo ones also tend to have a bigger suction ring and they’re very strong

Ended up throwing all the silicone ones, as even made the food put in them taste a certain way. Couldn’t believe was feeding my LO food tasting of the bowls with the odour they give off, even if you clean them like they say to.
Have gone for stainless steel ones instead now, that have their solicone suction sleeve you put on them that doesn’t touch the food. And come off for cleaning them.
So much better! And feel so much better not feeding her from toxic ones now 🙈
Plus the stainless steel ones come with lids if want to store the food ever.

We used Bibado bamboo for about a year until I got Elk and Friends ceramic plates with silicone suction sleeves. They're amazing and I wish I'd just got them from the start. Just need the bowls now but most things she has on the plate. They are quite spendy tbh, but I'd say worth the price and should last well.

I use the elk and friends range on Amazon they are great

do the elk and friends range survive the inevitable drops from the highchair?

We’ve tried the bamboo, silicone and glass before we settled on stainless steel. We found them the most practical by far, easy to wash, no soapy taste, reasonably priced, and can use the silicone sleeves to suction them to high chair if required.

Thank you all so much - so useful!
I've ordered a bamboo plate for picky bits and the Elk and Friends stainless steel bowls for the majority of meals. So long stinky silicone!

We used the munchkin hard plastic section plates with the suction. We always washed them (not dishwasher) and never had issues
