I wanted to get my daughter’s ears pierced and one of my friends mentioned that pediatricians pierce ears. I didn’t know that? Is it just specific doctors and is there an age limit? My daughter is turning 6 months

I used to do ear piercings at a jewelry store and we could do piercings as young as 3 months in NJ. Yes some pediatrician's will do ear piercing however they may refer you to a place like a jewelry store because they do it more frequently/are more experienced sometimes. The needle they use at the doctor's may also be thicker than your average earring. Just things to consider. I'd look into both to see what feels best

I got my daughters from her pediatrician & she did great ! Highly recommended it was a brand new needle she uses a new one every single time & since my daughter been seeing her my daughter was more comfortable with her. My sister had got my niece done at the jewelry store & they messed up that my niece had to get it redone a month later the same happen to me as a kid also at a jewelry store.
The age limit was 3 months & not all pediatrician don’t offer it mines was the only one in her office that does it so I would call around

This is my first time hearing this. But my pediatrician did recommend a piercing shop called Rowan that pierced baby’s ears as young as 3 month and a registered nurse does the piercing
