Skipping Babyshower
Hello everyone, i plan to skip the baby shower because to be honest I just want to keep things lowkey, i had a gender reveal that felt like a baby shower already and plan to have a meet the baby later party! This is my first pregnancy and i hope i dont regret it lol but had some recent issues with both my parents and in laws that I don’t see all of us sitting around in one spot anytime soon and also my sister has been pressuring me about baby shower when i believe they should be throwing me one but im not one to say so i just left it. What do you guys think of my current dilemma? 🫠🫠

My husband said with his other kids they did the shower after the baby came... kind of your meet the baby party.
You can have a “sip and see” that’s after the baby is born. Asians have what we call a “1 month birthday” but the modern day version of that is the Sip N see.
Honestly I regret having a baby shower for this baby, what we spent and what I had to do for it physically (all the decorating, etc) I could’ve just used the money towards stuff for the baby. 🥲 I agree to just do the meet the baby party once the baby is here.
Thank you guys for your opinion about not having a baby shower this makes me feel so much better and stress-free now I can just focus on preparing for the arrival of my little one without feeling regret. Also, I feel like there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate once baby is here.
I honestly don’t think I would have had one had a few of my friends not offered to do it. I would rather put the money toward the baby and yes not stress myself out over it.
