( please don't come at me for the carrier, he screamed sitting in the pram 😭😭 )
When are people buying shoes for their toddler. Little man is a confident walker but most shoes he is struggling to walk in.
He has some first shoes from Clark's but he's already getting too big for them.
I need suggestions for lightweight shoes that don't impact his toes 😭🩵

These are meant to be great

My twins arent near shoes yet, but keep seeing duckies being promoted on my socials...

There’s a brand called Elephanten, they sell them in Deichmann! Super affordable like £13 a pair. Really flexible, wide toe space etc etc. I really recommend xx

You need to try them or go to a specialized store to find a shoe that fits well, long and wide enough
Use the carrier honey!

Absolutely recommend getting barefoot shoes for your toddler, all branded shoes are way too narrow and uncomfortable for the natural shape of your foot x

Clark’s or startrite. Adult shoes that are made smaller for kids are awful for their foot development x

Striderite all the way. They give give amazing ankle support

If you’re not bothered about colour/design, startrite often have some bargains on the sale section of their site. I really like there shoes, got a couple of pairs off vinted like new initially.

If he struggles to walk in shoes it’s probably bc most main stream ones are stiff and have a thick sole. Have him try “Barefoot” style shoes. Those have been working wonders for my daughter’s chubby wide feet too. And once he is stronger you can probably transition him back to mainstream ones if you want to.

Please check out Barefoot Brit on fb! Tons of recommendations and advice available ☺️

I ended up getting my little one some vans. Abit of a different recommendation but he is able to walk in them and they are actually quite wide on the toes so I never feel like they are getting squashed x

Bought Clark’s shoes for my little girl but do keep seeing duckies being advertised on my social media and will be purchasing them very soon

We love duckies! Super lightweight and bendy, used them for both kids

Not shoe related but more weather, girl is -19 here in Quebec , Canada and will be even colder this weekend . I still took my 5 month old in a walk.
I googled your area, it is showing me 3C, that is considered a hot winter day for us 😂

What’s wrong with having him in a carrier?

We have the Next barefoot style ones and they're great as they look decent too! I think the Zara barefoot ones are good for that too.
Why would anyone come at you for the carrier?!

We did Jan and Jul little booties for the first winter. They protected his feet and were warm but still pretty flexible and let him walk without the structured shoes. Their snow boots are great too.

My girl has soooo many trainers but seems to only walk confidently in her crocs x
