What to wear under a fleece lined puddle suit
Random one / feel daft asking but we are going to a petting farm tomorrow, mix of indoors and outdoors. Want to put a puddle suit on my LO, waterproof and thin but fleece lined - do you guys put a coat on them underneath? Or just a thick hoodie / jumper? His coats are all big and bulky but he does have one thin one x

We tend to just have a thick jumper/hoody under ours, and maybe a hat and scarf too. It all depends on the temperature on the day. You can always pack his thin coat in a bag too just in case? Never daft to ask and hope you have a lovely time 🙂 x
I still use short sleeve bodysuits under his long sleeve top, so I usually do
Short sleeve vest
Long sleeve top
Leggings/joggers
Fleece Puddlesuit
If it’s super cold, I’ll put merino leggings under the joggers and a thin jumper over his long sleeve top
If it’s waterproof on the outside & fleece inside I imagine it’ll be lovely and warm. My LO never keeps a hat or gloves on but has always been happy with the above xx
We do a long sleeve top, sweatshirt/jumper, long socks, either joggers as they're thicker generally or jeans xx
I worried about this and one walk I dressed my boy in sleeveless bodysuit vest, long sleeve t-shirt, jumper, tracksuit bottoms and he was TOASTY. I'd say layer up with thin layers and you can always ditch them x
It really depends on the thickness of the fleece and the weather.
For us, we dress our LB in a long sleeve thin cotton t-shirt so that his skin isn’t in contact with the fleece. It maintains hygiene and is an additional layer for warmth while being breathable and absorbent, incase we dress him too warm.
If it’s a really cold day, we do a short sleeve cotton t-shirt and a jumper.
