Hi, we decided to start trying this month after our loss at 12 weeks in June last year and we’ve been lucky enough to get pregnant first time. I’m very early days. How do I shake the feeling that I’m gonna lose this one too? I have a 3 year old too so I need to hold myself together 💙

I lost my first pregnancy at 16w in June 2024 i was pregnant again Oct/Nov’24, this probably isn’t helpful but my anxiety didn’t get better until i was nearing the end of my pregnancy but i did have other factors that probably played a part, i was a high risk pregnancy after my first loss and had emergency surgery to place a cerclage at 19w as my cervix was funnelling my point is its completely normal to be anxious going into a new pregnancy after a loss theres a whole bunch of us who feel the same way you do
After your loss did you get any answers as to what the cause was? Is there any extra scans or a team looking after you this time around to make sure it doesn’t happen again? Ask for baby aspirin and progesterone suppositories
And there are perinatal mental health midwives you can have throughout to see you i feel like that really helped me having someone to express my anxiety to
Its a new pregnancy take it a day at a time and be hopeful, you will be absolutely fine 🧡🧡
