OBgyn and maternity hospital recommendations
Hi all, recently moved to Austin, TX and also found out I’m pregnant. I don’t have an OB or even a pcp yet in the city. Please help me out with your favorite OBs and hospitals you chose for your delivery. How was your experience with either the doc or the hospital? I have BCBS as my insurance.
Also appreciate negative reviews and hospitals I should steer clear from.

Honestly I recommend steering clear of hill country obgyn on Brodie..their obgyn doctors have been nice but lord they only have like 2 nice receptionists and booking with them is impossible unless you’re literally gonna give birth and they treat you like you’re the inconvenience.
They also are bad with communicating with each other and have tried to charge me 1800+ TWICE for my services when I already contracted them and paid what I owed. I’ve never had any bad experiences personally with the doctors but I always went with my husband for the emotional support to deal with receptionists weird attitudes…
I had a great experience at St David’s North!! I think my bill got my c section and NICU stay for my baby was 350 total with BCBS
My OB was Dr. Wang. She did a great job with my surgery but I likely won’t return for future pregnancies due to 1. Super long wait times and 2. She only does repeat c-sections if you’ve already had one
St.David's North was 10/10 experience for me!! They are all so great and I would recommend to anyone!
I have my prenatal care at Moontower Midwifery and have really liked the experience. I’ll be delivering at St David’s North - took a tour just the other day and am really impressed by it.
Megan McCoin is phenomenal. One of the only doctors I’ve ever had that truly felt like she genuinely cared about her patients
I go to Austin Area Obstentrics, Gynecology and Fertility. It’s connected to the St.Davids North hospital and I see Dr.Marco Uribe he’s the head doctor there. He delivered my partner and his brother so been at it a long time 🫶🏼 highly recommend that office.
