Princess Anne

Has anyone given birth recently? And can tell me how long they were in for? For example uncomplicated epidural vaginal delivery? Tia

I gave birth 6 months ago at the princess anne. Feels like yesterday. But I had epidural, and ended with forceps. I had to stay in for 5 days due to the epidural making my bladder so weak. Xx

I gave birth a year ago this month, induced with waters broken, also had stitches and was home within 4 hours x

I gave birth 7 months ago there, vaginal delivery, no analgesia but had to stay in for two nights due to post partum haemorrhage and baby aspirating on the meconium and nearly needing NICU but all was well in the end! They were amazing and I couldn’t fault them!

I gave birth there 8 weeks ago, very traumatic birth ending in emergency section and a week hospital stay but the staff were so incredible and attentive xx

I gave birth 9 weeks ago - vaginal delivery with no epidural, but was an instrumental birth. I stayed in for 2 nights due to baby being pre-term, but the midwives were great from the moment we arrived in day assessment

Gave birth 10 months ago there, placenta ruptured so needed IVABS and lost 1.5 litres of blood needed replacing and LO pooped inside me- gave birth at midday on the Saturday had to stay the Saturday night for observations as both our heart rates kept dropping low during labour and other reasons above and they discharged me Sunday afternoon (they wanted to keep me in for another night because of the IVABS but I asked for orals and they were happy to do that)

I have given birth there twice in Broadlands, vaginal and no epidural but both babies born 5pm and 11.30pm so I chose to stay in as couldn’t think of anything worse than getting home late, rather leave the next morning and start fresh! Due to give birth in the next few weeks there and will do the same unless baby is born early morning.

Care both times was amazing, was was the food menu, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay this time and it will be a break from my other two lol xx

I’m due 25th Feb.
Last time I gave birth at 3.50am and discharged myself at 6pm I hated it sooo much. The care was awful. Sounds like it’s improved 2 years later but v worried about staying in x

I gave birth in June ‘24 - vaginal unmedicated but did have episiotomy. Gave birth at around 8pm, stayed overnight and wasn’t discharged until 9pm the next day - mainly because I think they were short staffed and wanted to check breastfeeding was ok before sending us home x

The care has most definitely not improved but I guess everyone has had their own experience. Mine was rubbish and for sure will not be going back to princess anne should I get pregnant again.
