Affordable trips with 1 year old near nyc

Inspired by another post. I’ve been thinking about trips my little one would enjoy that’s not a flight away but close to NYC that I can drive to. Any suggestions?

we enjoyed our bronx zoo membership, still do :) it pays for itself after two visits. lots of nap and carousel rides there. also includes the other zoos like central park’s
