I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant with my first little girl and I found out my waters broke at 21 weeks and luckily she is still cooking but honestly it’s so exhausting when they told me my waters broke they first of all said my baby might not make it her lungs might be undeveloped and I can terminate and i thought it was over luckily her lungs are small but still in the normal percentile but she is small so far she is still in the normal range but now I’m just constantly on edge worried their will be more things happen or that I can give birth at anytime or if I get a infection and ive always had a fear of birth but now with this ontop I’m so scared I will have it again if I have more baby’s and I know doctors do their best but I feel like everytime I go in I get told different things and I don’t know what to think now especially as I had liquid and they said it was discharge when it was my waters

I don't know if your based in UK or not however to reach 27wks is a massive achievement in it's self 💜💜
My waters broke at 22wks and at 24wks I had to give birth due to infection, my son will be 4yrs old next week 😍
I was told if I wanted another baby it would potentially be early, having said that I did fall pregnant 22months later , I was put into the pre-term clinic where they measure your cervix length every 2wks and at 21wks they could see my cervix opening, So within 2days I had a cerclarge stitch and that was removed at 37wks and I gave birth at 39wks with continuous scans untill 34wks !
Every woman and baby are different a friend of mine had a 28wker , fell pregnant again at had her son full-term and is now pregnant again and potential pre-term again.....It's all in gods hands, he knows what he's doing and it can be a very scary time 💜 try to look after yourself and DON'T beat yourself up as You have done nothing wrong xx
Also, you should have steroid jabs to help baby's lungs , I had 2 just after my waters went! So if they haven't given them ask about them!!
My son is great honestly he does have Global development delay, So hes like a 2yr old in a 4yr old body, Saying that he's under all the support networks and thriving cat - He is also non-verbal but he has started counting and doing the alphabet etc 💜 preemie are warriors xx
