Has anyone successfully stopped formula feeding and exclusively breast fed? My baby is 12 weeks and without going into too much detail I had no option but to formula feed with a little bf in between.
As a result my supply is low but still there and I want to exclusively bf but I’m worried my baby will end up starving if I just go cold turkey. Any suggestions? Has anyone successfully done it?

I did. I had no supply and bub was fully dependent on formula. I started before I had an established supply, but I did this -
1. motillium, prescription medication but not about to access everywhere. its 1 tablet 3 times a day as long as your doctor recommends. I took it for 6 weeks.
2. I make lactation cookies and have 2 a day.
3. beer! the brewers yeast in beer helps too. one beer, 3 hours wait til feed.
4. pump. every 3 hours. mimicking cluster feeding once a day. I pump 30-45 minutes after every feed until im empty. 15 minutes does nothing for me like recommended. listen to your body and your limits.
5. powerade. water can have a good effect but too much will put you back in square one. powerade has that little extra
6. eat well. eat everything. eat healthy, eat sugar, eat anything.
7. moringa leaf extract. approved by my doctor and nurses. bought it at Coles, mix it with water and drink a teaspoon of it once a day.
8. latch baby. all the time. comfort? latch. hungry? latch. sore belly? latch.

ran out of space ^
I now have a slight oversupply and can feed all day and get 1 or 2 bottles from pumping. I dont know what one thing worked. I just did everything I saw and researched.
some mums do 'slutty pumping' which is after an 0rga5m, I haven't tried personally but the happy hormones in your brain are what help produce so I believe it.
I do a biggggg pump after a hot shower and lymphatic massage.
good luck mama xx

with my first i was made to give formula but ended up exclusively pumping after 5 days, but used formula if i wanted to/cba to pump.
you will have to start introducing a pump everytime your baby will eat; roughly 15-30 mins but you can include power pumps which can be about an hour long. bring baby to breast, do skin to skin, raise those oxytocin’s that help produce the milk. when you are giving formula now, you have to pump to signal to your brain you need that milk or else it will stop supplying.
don’t trust all this marketing with food and drink that will increase supply. it’s just a tactic as there is no scientific evidence to even suggest this works. be careful of some ingredients like fenugreek bc they can also stop supply.
the only link would be good food/drink = oxytocin’s.
to make milk you have to effectively extract milk. you can do it!
if you are struggling, maybe go to any infant feeding drop ins and they can help made a POA for you x
