Rash(?)

Hi mamas, first-time mom here! My 6-week-old baby has this rash that comes and goes and I’m starting to worry a bit. Not sure if I should go to the ER or try to get an urgent pediatrician appointment. I’ve read it could be heat rash, but I’m not sure. Her temp is 37°C, she’s eating well, has wet diapers and poops. Anyone else dealing with something similar?

Same here, first baby had it too, it was infant acne. Never hurts to check with your doctor for peace of mind, just give them a call and ask or even better if they have an online portal so you can upload the picture. Helps a lot when you’re worried and can just check in for sanity

That looks like a heat rash which is super common! Keep moisturizer off of it for a day or two and it should clear up!

Mine had the exact same thing and she’s 5 weeks. I noticed it more after I gave her baths, wipe downs, a lot of holding to where her face is against my clothing, or even waiting till day 3 to bathe lol. The doctor said it’s normal and babies skin is sensitive and just getting used to everything in the outside world. Doesn’t hurt to ask though!

Baby acne, very annoying. One day you’ll notice that it’s just gone.

With my baby, i was told its contact dermatitis and she was prescribed hydrocortisone 2% weeks used it for about a week and a half and now we’re just using the original eucerin (normal like for adults too specifically in the jar) at LEAST twice daily and her skin loves it - they’re adjusting to life outside of the womb, you got this mama 💘

It’s just baby acne. It’ll go away in its own. It’s completely normal and nothing to stress about

That looks like a heat rash. My 2 month old hasn't gotten it yet but my son did when he was about a month. It was very hard to get rid of. And he really wasn't that hot. He had to sleep in onesies for a good while.

Looks just like my baby. I was also worried but at the doc she wasn’t worried at all - we just had our 1 month appt and I asked about it and the doc says it’s just acne.
