When it’s dissolved in water it goes grainy which then gets stuck in the syringe so I can never tell if my baby gets the full dose. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Use a calpol syringe!! Game changer😁xx

Thank you so much for your help, losing the will to live at the moment. No one sees to know/ care much about baby reflux. Just waiting to ring the GP now. Once you quartered the tablet, did you put it in a calpol syringe and then draw up a few mls of water to dissolve it and then give straight to your baby?
Also, did anything else help the reflux? We got some carobel last night so going to try that today. I hate this 😭 thanks so much for replying x

Also agree to the low dose issue- they’ve dosed him on a weight from 4 weeks ago and he’s now over a kg heavier. They’ve also calculated based on the lowest possible dose (0.5mg/kg) so no wonder it’s not doing much!

Thanks everyone, I spoke to the clinical pharmacist at the surgery and he was very reassuring. He actually said the drug isn’t contained within the granules at all but I’m not entirely sure that’s correct! We’re going to divide the tablet, dissolve it then give on a teaspoon so that we know the exact dose he’s getting. Thanks for all your advice ☺️ x
