So I have a mutual agreement on non court related with my kids dad. I recently got approved for disability due to an accident i had and i cant move much. I recently applied for medi-cal as I lost my job and my kids already had medi-cal under me and when i was working my income was low enough. Well now that I the adult applied for medi-cal i am being told the only way to get it for myself is if i put him on child support. Anyone dealing with this? Or has and how have you gone about it.

if you apply for benefits through the state ie; Food stamps cash aid, medicaid or medical they will automatically try to put him on child support on your behalf

yea , if they cant find like any income on him then you should be fine..but have you told him the situation? maybe even if he did get on CS yall can split the money or you give it back to him? idk but maybe he will understand too

Are they trying to get you on cash aid? I’ve only heard of this when needing cash assistance never for medical or stamps. Things do change though
