Is there any phase where babies prefer only one parent instead of both
It’s been since last 3/4 days my 9 month old daughter is getting so clingy to her dad and whenever he is around she doesn’t come to me and just want to be in his lap. Even if he tries to give her back to me she screams and as if she doesn’t want to come to me. I don’t know why is this happening and same pattern is following every single day since last 3 days. Normally when he used to come back from work after whole day she gets excited and wants to go to him that’s fine I understand. But since waking up from sleep in the morning whenever she sees him in the room or sees him passing by she keeps crying to be his lap. I am literally not getting her this kind of behaviour. Whereas whole day she is fine with me. But as soon as he is around she starts rejecting me and starts screaming to go to him.

Well my eldest is now 3.5 and I am still the preferred parent. He’s literally my shadow and barely allows Dad to do anything for him. He just wants me and to be with me constantly 😂
My boy preferred his dad to the extent that he'd shout at me to get out the room when trying to put him to bed as he only wanted his dad! Since he turned 2 his preference evened out and now I would say I have the slight edge as the preferred parent.
I’ve never been the preferred parent 😅 and she’ll be 3 in May.
My son started preferring his dad after I got surgery and only him was able to calm him down or comfort him and it broke my heart. He’s getting used to it being me again now. He’s 17 months old.
