Is anyone in the same boat as me 😩 My son is 8w 4d, he was born on the 50th centile at 8lb 3oz and on Friday he only weighed 8lb 9oz, dropping to the 2nd centile (2 centile curves, he is not following his curve) He is EBF and as advised by our HV & GP we also top up with 2-4oz expressed breastmilk each night too to get him to gain more weight. We’ve been referred to the paediatrics team in hospital and going in tomorrow. Please tell me I’m not the only one, what did you do?
* I had an ECS birth that ended in infection for both of us, this caused a week long hospital stay and took 6 days of my milk to come in. He was losing too much weight so we supplemented with donor milk and eventually formula for a couple of weeks until my supply could keep up with the demand. He has plenty of wet and dirty nappies.

Hey, I’m in a similar situation. My 9 week old son was in the 2nd centile but when he was weighed at 6 weeks the HV said he had dropped and wasn’t following the curve. They’ve suggested I give two bottles of expressed milk per day at about 4oz. He is gaining weight but it’s hit and miss each weigh in if he’s putting on the amount they want to see. Frustrating as I don’t see the same HV each time, and they all say something different/have different suggestions so I’m feeling quite overwhelmed about it all.

Hi there, we have similar with my 9 week old, but it's since been linked to bad reflux - he wasn't able to keep much down and dropped two centiles. Just wanted to mention it as we thought his vomiting was normal as we were told "all babies are sick after feeding" but turns out it was definitely excessive. We now have him on infant gaviscon and it's really helping him keep milk down and gain weight - but we're still under review by HV and have a hospital referral on the cards if he doesn't keep gaining against their curve. Good luck!

Just don’t stress ❤️❤️ they are there to help
