I dont know how to handle this.. Text covo in comments Tw suicide
I need to preface this with a few things.
1 my sister who I'm talking to in the text thread below, has bipolar, and a personality disorder that causes phychosis.
2 our parents weren't the best but they were by no means the worst. They love us and did the best with what they had.
3 I got into a car accident, it was the other persons fault. I live in a no fault state. My car was insured and we thought I was too but apparently I was only listed as a driver, because of this my medical bills had to go through my closest relative I live with, which is my sister. I my insurance and lawyer both said my sisters insurance should not go up because her car or her was not involved, it was strictly for my medical bills because of no fault state rules. I thought we had settled it and for the last 2-3 months I didn't hear anything about it. Now this morning I get this text out of now where. Mind you we weren't texting before this first message. The last message we sent to each other was days ago.
4 my sister has tried to commit suicide 5 times. I take that very seriously. But, she has this habit of joking about killing herself and holding over peoples head. Anytime there's a slight inconvenience she theetens to kill herself.

I genuinely can't deal with her threatening to kill herself.. I know it's serious but she jokes about it like 5 times a day Im not even joking, it is exhausting dealing with this when I have 2 kids I'm also dealing with. I offered for her to call mom because she knows insurance better than me. Her response is not true in the slightest. Shes like this because she's not on meds and she's supposed to be but has taken 3 years to go back to the doctor.
Also I am trying to move out but I basically have to wait until October when the lease is up 🙃 neither of us has the money to break the lease and I don't want to cause drama in the family by doing all of that because it would 100% turn into that. I just need to find a way to make it through the next 9 months...
So do just you and your sister live together? Or do other family members also live with you?
I’d have a different person uninvolved with the insurance issues (like your mom) go and physically check on her.
But that’s just me.
I totally understand why you dont have the energy to deal with it. I'd maybe call a crisis line and have them check on her. My mom is the same way. Every time it's like of course I care and I want to help her but my plate is so full and when she's not serious it feels like she's just adding to my plate to add to it.
