Hello! I recently discovered my five month old has a cows milk protein sensitivity (I don’t think a full allergy). We had her on an organic goat milk formula, but I think it’s still making her reflux worse. I think she needs a hypoallergenic formula since it’ll be easier on her stomach, but all the options I see don’t really have good quality ingredients. Wondering if anyone has some good formula recommendations? ❤️

I’m not savvy on this but I see a lot of people recommend hipp organic

I don’t know if it would help for baby with the formula but breast-feeding my baby had one too, which thankfully stopped around seven months old. But my pediatrician recommended that we give him slippery Elm to help with the reflux and baby probiotics, and both of those things helped a lot.

Yeah she had them in office and they were a little more spendy but they are like a 60 day supply for 6 months and up so it helped extend them out because for awhile he was on the half dose. It’s from Klaire Labs, it’s in a blue bottle and they’re powder. They also have to be refrigerated

Then the Slippery Elm brand is Solaray in a green bottle. They are capsules that you break open and dissolve into the milk. You can either add 1/8 tsp to a bottle each time or add it to 1oz of the milk and then do a dropper of 3ml and for either option, you do it 3 times a day.
I think the elm is probably what helped the most and it started worked within a couple days

I had to eventually just give up milk altogether but these at least helped.

my son had the same, we were on Alimentum and then Kendamil which made it worse and finally switched to Kabrita, that one worked very well and it’s rarely out of stock online. it’s not the most organic but it’s cleaner compared to others

Hello! I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. My daughter had the same issue. She was able to used Nutramigen Infant Formula and then transitioned to Puramino Toddler Formula. Depending on your insurance, this can be deemed a medical necessity and approved through your Insurance. Look into the program Helping Hands-Speciality Formula.
