Can you message someone unmatched?
I've read somewhere that if I message someone without being matched first it will go into a different folder?! I sent few messages like that and didn't get a response, I'm now wondering is it because they haven't seen my message at all? I'm new to this don't know how it works, hope someone can help me thanks

I agree that you don’t need to be matched to message but sometimes on weird occasions I was sent messages but then they disappear… like I get messages from people I am not matched with but sometimes they disappear for some unknown reason- I find them eventually- idk what it is besides some weird glitch

If they have their messages filtered no, it will go to filtered messages but if they don’t it goes to the same inbox! I’ve accidentally left women mid convo because peanut suddenly moved their convo to filtered messages and I just thought they blocked me until I learned about checking those!

I think a lot of people also have their notifications turned off/don’t check the app often. Without read receipts it’s hard to know. But I’ve had a few people tell me they had their notifications off, or are just really bad at remembering to check.
I haven't seen any "other messages" folder but I am brand new to the app and have seen messages come in without doing any matches.
