Erm is anyone else’s 4 year old still waking up throughout the night? If he notices my husband or I aren’t in bed with him that’s it. I think that the main reason he wakes up is due to separation anxiety but also he talks a lot in his sleep so even if one of us is there, he ends up disturbing himself. He also wakes up crying sometimes and won’t be consoled until he’s picked up and walked with - yes my 4 year old lol. Everyone told me it gets better but I can’t believe we are still waking up multiple times a night with this child who has only ever slept through TWICE in his life. We also have a 1 year old so between them we are 🫠Please tell me anyone somebody else can relate ðŸ˜

Yup, only about twice a night now though since we moved his bedtime to 8. My eldest didn't sleep through or in his own bed till he was 9 though so my limited experience says it's normal.

I’ve definitely read that some kids still wake up at night even at that age, especially if there’s separation anxiety involved. From what I’ve learned it can take longer for some little ones to feel fully comfortable sleeping on their own, so you’re definitely not the only one going through it. It must be so exhausting though, especially with a 1-year-old too 😅 hoping things start improving for you soon!
