Im a midwife in the ulster. What do u mean? As in the whole time?

Usually in labour, its 1-1 care. 1 midwife for 1 woman. Most staff do 12 hour shifts, or u could have 2 on for day shift (1 in am, 1 in pm). Someone relieves them for meal breaks
Labour ward sister comes in to check etc.
If ur on a ctg, someone may call in to check the ctg and double sign it.
Drs come in once per shift to introduce themselves and check progress.
If all goes well, thats pretty much it.
U can have a student but u can decline if u wish.
If all goes well, at the time baby is about to come a second midwife would come in.
If things are more complex then more staff are needed.
Thank you, you've kinda answer my question there :)

No worries xx
