Hiya! My 7 year old has never had chicken pox but has been poorly since Sunday night, she was sick twice then had a sore throat and last night her temp spiked to 39 and this morning it was 37.9 I bathed her this morning and noticed small red dots on her back and front? What’s everyone’s experience been like with chicken pox? And does anyone have any photos of when it first broke out as I’m not sure what to look for other than what google gives me aha!

Hey! Same 🙋♀️ my 7yr just got them Friday I don’t have any pictures sorry, but they looked like little blisters like pus filled lumps started as red dots in the morning and by the evening they were full of icky puss. Un/fortunately I’m one of those weirdos that never became immune the first time I’ve had them so I’ve had them 4 times 🤞not the fifth so far, so I’ve had plenty of experience dealing with them. She’s had a saw throat, cough and high temp since the Monday before. But 2 oat baths a day and Calpol she’s in the last stage now only a few left to scab over. Make sure they’re hydrated and eating as much as possible and it’s been like any other flu otherwise. What she found good was a cold compress for her head to stop itching the ones there and only really had difficulty with a few chickenpox behind her ears that were a bit painful because of the pressure but that was only bad for a day.

My son had them terrible, best thing I done to soothe him was do a head and shoulders shampoo (must be the branded original one) bubble bath in warm water. Really helped his itching.
