Hey ladies, hoping someone here might have advice or a recommendation.
I’m on mat leave from a big agency network and I’m dealing with what looks like pregnancy/parental‑leave discrimination around a promised promotion (promotion verbally approved before leave, walked back and never submitted once I was out). I’m in Toronto and feeling pretty out of my depth with next steps.
I’m looking for:
• An employment / human rights lawyer in Ontario who has experience with maternity or parental‑leave cases
• Ideally someone who offers a free consult and, if possible, works on a contingency / “no win, no fee” or low‑upfront‑cost basis
• Advice on going through HRTO / HRLSC
If you’ve worked with anyone you’d recommend (or had a bad experience I should avoid), I’d really appreciate any referrals, DMs, or general advice on where to start.
Thank you so much in advance – this whole thing has been a lot to carry on top of new‑mom life.

Hi, sorry that you are going through this. I don’t personally have someone to recommend but if you haven’t already, check out the Moms at Work group on Facebook. They have experts in the group who also offer discounted services and sometimes free consults.
