Hyperemesis gravidarum

I'm pregnant with my second baby, my first is 5 and the pregnancy was awful. I was hospitalised through most of it and ended up losing 8 kg, weighing 35kg at 5 months. I was small to begin with but I'm not much bigger now. I'm terrified the same will happen again and it will be harder as I already have a 5 year old and I'm working (scared of losing my job again).
But my main issue is that my partner is in denial. He keeps just saying it won't be the same, it'll be fine, the anti sickness tablets will cure it.... I'm frustrated that I don't feel he's listening to me and how genuinely terrified I am of this condition.
He also has his parents coming soon (from Spain) for 2 weeks... And I'm scared I'll be getting sick around that time as I'm only 4 weeks now.
Long story short... How do I get him to acknowledge this and realise how I'm feeling?
Also any tips on HG?

Hi! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I also had HG my first and am pregnant with my second. I got a lot of opinions on second time HG, I was told luck of draw. Some people didn't get HG again. I am not one of the fortunate ones. My HG is 10x worse as of 6 weeks - multiple hospitalizations, losing 20 lbs, crazy food + water aversions. Pills didn't work for me. My body rejected everything 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I think you need to sit your husband down and gently explain that creating life is hard. HG is much harder. You are positive and hope that it's fine but you also want him to not ignore the past because if you're feeling sick, you're feeling sick. You'll take the pills and hope for the best but at the end of the day, it's a risk you both knew of and no one can do magic. You would appreciate his support and understanding during this time while you are growing HIS child.

Anxious/depressed

My first pregnancy symptom was my anxiety out of nowhere. I feel like I'm a bundle of nerves and just so scared of everything. Is anyone else feeling similar? How are you managing? Are we contributing it to hormones?
