Does anyone have tips on trying not to confuse your dog when you say cue words that you may be trying to teach your baby.

I told my daughter “come on, let’s go.” As I had the front door open ready to go out waiting on her to walk through, my dog flew out the door!
I know she knows the times we go out and that weren’t the time 😅 but I also feel bad as I also know she knows those words 🥲

The simplest solution in this particular situation would be to have your dog somewhere they don’t have access to the open front door if you’re going out without them. Our dog is very spoiled and has her own room with her own sofa 😂
If your house is open plan and can’t put them in another room then one of those stretchy expandable baby gates would be good for by the front door so the dog can’t run out when it’s open as you and daughter are going out 👍🏼

Thank youu 🥲

My heart jumped out my body when she shot out! I was worried she wouldn’t stop, but she did and looked so guilty when I caught up to her!
I’ve been looking at baby gates so I’ll also get one for the door

Definitely what the above comment said but also try phrase things a little differently for the dog and the baby. "Let's go" for the dog and "we're leaving" for the baby or something like that
