Face licking

Does anyone have a child who licks there mouth to the point of developing a rash?

Any recommendations to help my son to stop!!

Yeah, usually it's not too bad & applying vaseline at bedtime stops her getting sore but when she has a cold (which is always at the moment) she licks her lips a lot & just have to keep applying vaseline as much as possible.
