Has anyone made it through mediation without hating your ex more??? This man totally blind sided me with a surprise 53k in debt. Then tried to blame it on me. Like sir I didn't know you even made enough to be that in debt.

I think when there is conflict, going through the process of separation and divorce is going to make you hate them more regardless of whether you go with mediation or with lawyers/courts.
At least with your current path, it should cost you less.
That said, if there’s game playing going on, at a certain point you may need to threaten (and be prepared to follow through) to pull the plug on mediation if he’s unable or unwilling to negotiate in good faith.
We finished mediation yesterday with my lawyer. He tried to stick me with $63k of debt I didnt even know existed.
What a pos… That is misappropriation of marital funds!!! You should not inherit that debt, instead, he should be punished!
Right! But no. My lawyer did get him to take the debt but I got stuck with a rotting mci bus the he bought. So it ended on a least bad of bad options. Im so mad.
Sounds like my idiot ex, so many useless purchases that I am now stuck dealing with!! 2 random washing machines, cement mixers, inflatable hot tub…
Possibly but its the size of a greyhound and hasnt started in 2 years so my dad is being kind enough to check it out and see what might be able to be done
