Specifically copper IUD. If so, what happen did they take the IUD out or left it inside since it has no hormones.

It's extremely unlikely to get pregnant with a copper IUD, they are actually able to be used as emergency contraception unlike hormonal IUDs. However, if a pregnancy does occur, it's more likely to be ectopic and definitely needs evaluation by a doctor as the IUD should also be removed.

I got pregnant at 22 with an IUD and almost had an ectopic pregnancy...it ended up passing on its own. Keep in mind that this is extremely rare and my husband has strong testosterone, so his swimmers somehow made it past the IUD (1% chance of this happening in anyone).
