Hello, I recently got diagnosed with preeclampsia after an elevated BP reading and high levels of protein in my urine (24 hour test) since last week my BP has been fine. I am waiting on my referral to see a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. I'm wondering if anyone else has had normal BP with high protein in urine and what to possibly expect? I know everyone is different but my brain is spinning and Dr. Goggle freaks me out!

Hey, I’m based in the uk so may not be of much help but I’m 8mo pp and had severe pre eclampsia. Was initially diagnosed at 26 weeks as mild and it progressed and I gave birth via c section at 34 weeks. My little one was small due to the placenta failing (4lb) but is now 20lb and does not even look like he was prem! It can be really scary to have this diagnosis, but my advice would just be to not be afraid to go in and see someone about any changes or concerns at any point. It can evolve rapidly but with the right treatment it can be controlled. I did have high BP, but one thing they did test me for was for infections. I have hereditary high BP, so they weren’t sure at first if my protein levels were due to an infection. It may be worth asking them to check incase it’s that and not full blown pre e? Either way best of luck with your pregnancy- my inbox is always open if you had any questions

How many weeks are you? Did they retest your protein yet? Mine was elevated once and then went back down to normal levels. I was diagnosed around 33 weeks and was able to make it to 37 weeks! My BP was very high the last 4 weeks but I made it 😅
