It doesn't happen often but sometimes I'm noticing the cat if being a bit moody towards our toddler, sometimes she's great with her but other times she can be very grumpy and just scratch her even if the toddler isn't touching her, and we are teaching our toddler about giving the dog and cat space with she is getting better at and she is really good at being gentle with them , I've also noticed my cat's fur being thinner and patchy and she's quite scabby as well and I'm unsure if maybe she's stressed with the changes , we moved in September with our toddler and had a baby in November also any advice on any of this ?

Unsure on advice for preventing the scratches but some advice for overall mood improvement would be to look into a feliway "hormone" plug-in as they're usually renowned for relieving stress in animals (adaptil is the dog version in case you were interested in that too)

Its an instinct when something moves past especially fast, they all put paw out to catch they dont mean to scratch. best way i found was to try and keep my kids out his reach and tire him out with games. Hope all gets better for you x

So they're a pheromone plug in so while feliway is safe for your dog (and people) it won't have any effect on them, they work by releasing a synthetic version of the pheromone that mimics their mother's milk. Also, has Cat got her own space she can go to to get away from dog/toddler/even you? Sometimes it's a room dedicated to them, sometimes it can be a catio that they have access to or sometimes just some cat shelves high up on the walls do the trick. Hope you get some help for her and she's feeling better soon ☺️

Perfect, same setup I have for my kitties so yeah, next step I would definitely recommend the feliway adapter (safe for toddler just don't play with plugs) 😅 And fingers crossed you see some decent results ☺️
