Sick

Baby boy is 9 weeks on Sunday, he’s so sicky after every bottle and his poo’s smell sour, hes generally fine in himself not fussy or anything but is anyone else’s little one like this? He takes 6oz every 4hrs and will not take any less, I’ve tried smaller bottles and more often feeds but he’s so unsettled doing it this way, and he still spews after every bottle. Rather than doing one big poo he does wet trumps constantly and tiny little poos that smell rotten!

My boy is 9 weeks too and currently takes 5oz’s every 4 hours… He is sick after every bottle/dribbly sick even hours after but seems happy in himself. I went to the doctors about it and was prescribed Gaviscon to put in his bottles but the doctor told me as long as he is gaining weight and not in pain they aren’t concerned. What formula is he on? Xx

Also I can’t do small feeds like you also, as he will just kick off. We do pace feeding and sit him up for like half an hour after a feed too. But still find he is sick even hours after a bottle 🙂 I’m hoping it’s just something they will grow out of, especially if they seem happy and are gaining weight! Xx

Antibiotics and breast milk.

Has anyone taken antibiotics and noticed that it has affected their breast milk? I have been on antibiotics for a week (4 a day) and every time my baby has breast milk she is immediately sick afterwards and cranky. (This was never an issue before being on antibiotics), so I have been pumping and pouring away my milk (which is soul destroying) until I finish the tablets. She has been having formula instead and isn’t being sick with that at all and seems much more settled.

Travel pram

Has anyone used any of these prams? I want to make sure the seat sits upright fully and isn’t really flimsy that my son could fall out but I know these are cheaper prams as I can’t afford a lot so keep looking on marketplace etc

AITA

So my due date is in 10 days but obvs we don’t know when the baby will actually come. Anyway, my SIL is also pregnant (after 10 years of infertility) and I am so happy for her when I found out because the doctors had said they may never conceive. So she has her gender reveal on the 26th of April (which would be almost 2 weeks after due date) in either case I wouldn’t feel comfortable attending while newly postpartum and with a newborn baby where there will be lots of people I don’t even know, I said to my husband he should go just with my daughter, which he agreed but mentioned she might feel a certain way. I mean she needs to sort of be understandable, I just don’t want to put my baby at risk, and after I gave birth last time I made myself very unwell thinking I’m okay to go out and about earlier than I should. On top of this, she shouldn’t feel a certain way because in our culture it is crucial for the mum and baby to not leave the house for 40 days, and she knows this. Anyway I don’t think I’m being an Asshole, I just don’t want to put my baby at risk and especially because people from my country don’t know boundaries when it comes to babies (kissing them, holding them, passing them around)

Formulas

My little girl is 3 weeks old and is on formula and has been since 2 days old due to some really awful issues with BF. Shes been on aptamil the whole time but we seem to be suffering with constipation and going 2-3 days and it’s causing discomfort. I spoke to GP and he’s advised to change formula.. just interested to see people’s views on Kendamil and how it suited your babies? And if you recommend it?
