Has anyone’s else’s relatives told you that a glass of wine after a certain time in your pregnancy is okay and won’t harm your baby? Many of my relatives have told me that 4 oz of wine/beer/marg won’t hurt the baby and many of them had a glass a day or every other day while they were pregnant and their kids are fine. One of my friends who is also pregnant has started this and says she and baby are okay at every appointment she goes to. I feel so conflicted and I hate it because I know I should be able to manage a few more weeks without alcohol and I can but when people tell me “it’s okay to have x amount” I get it F it attitude. Has anyone actually ever had alcohol in their last few weeks of pregnancy and felt okay? I know as far as my relatives and friend their kids are fine but at the same time I just question if they really are…like what if in a few years they have some sort of health issue an it’s cause their mom drank…or what if I’m totally overreacting and they’re fine since like they said the baby is pretty much fully developed anyway?

I say just wait the couple weeks. If you have any doubt listen to it. Personally any amount of alcohol will enter the babies system.

All of the relevant research shows absolutely no adverse effects for minimal consumption like that you’re describing.
I’d feel fine going for it if I wanted it. I wouldn’t do it every day but a glass of red wine once or twice a week should be more than safe.
