How did your parents handle mistakes with you?

In many families, you make a mistake, you get in trouble. That eventually teaches kids to work hard to reach perfection, an impossible goal

It depended on the situation. The only thing I didn’t do is lie to not get punished.

I dont think the expectation is for perfection but more of a mold. In real world workout or parents if we do something bad and get caught we get punished through Jail or having to pay a fine or court. As a parent now I see why not everything we did bad got us grounded it just depended on the situation.
