Part Time 2 or 3 days?!

Hi all!

I’m not due back until September but am planning on going back part time (really don’t want to go back at all)!

Is it best to go back 2 days or 3 days?!

Also, how do you work out pay for 2 or 3 days- UPS1 and in the fringe (primary school)?

I went back 2 days but in my first year back I actually upped to 3 days for half the year (not ideal but I agreed). This academic year I'm back to 2 days which I prefer. I'm in reception and I would say it makes it a bit tricky to feel like I'm on top of everything as we work with the children in groups over the week so some weeks I don't do any group work with some children. Last year I was in year 4 and I didn't have that problem as we worked whole class so I saw them doing core subjects every day I was in. I guess that's quite a specific experience though!
I would say I'm due to go back on maternity later this year and the maternity pay on 2 days will be pittance and kind of wish I had maybe sucked it up and done the 3rd day
